Parks of Catalunya
In 2020, many residents of Cataluña, weary from lockdown, began turning to natural parks as their go-to weekend escape. More people than ever were seeking time in nature, and once restrictions were lifted, the reserves experienced their highest number of visitors in years.
In response, Diputació de Barcelona — the local government institution — launched an awareness campaign to remind both new and regular visitors to take good care of the parks during their visits.
The campaign encouraged visitors to act responsibly in the parks — to show respect and appreciation for nature, and to leave their surroundings as they found them, or even better.
Twelve “rules” were transformed into illustrations and published as individual posters. The client requested a style that was simple but not childish, as the campaign was mainly aimed at adults. The colours chosen were bold and eye-catching, and the limited yet strong palette complemented the visuals beautifully.
