The One Who Got Away is a beautiful podcast featuring heartbreaking yet inspiring excerpts from real messages people have shared for someone who is no longer in their lives.

I create social media content for these incredible stories, and through my work, I aim to translate the raw, hopeful, and sometimes painful words into visual form — using imagery and colour to reflect the emotions of those seeking closure from relationships, events, or even past versions of themselves.

Some of these illustrations are delicate—carefully measured and polished down to the last detail. Others are messy and raw, mirroring the messages themselves. With each one, I tried to capture the emotion behind every person brave enough to call and leave a message: for the one who left, the lost love, the distant family member, or the version of themselves that slipped away.
